Community Events

We place great importance on being part of our local community.  We have a long standing commitment to extending hospitality to others and we do this thorough a number of community projects. Below are just a few examples;

• Termly Community Teas in school for local residents
• Visits by Year 2 to Linden House our local Dementia Care Home where children work with residents on an assigned project e.g., Chocolate Workshop in 2019.
• Oakhaven ‘Acorn project’ -Year 2 children learn about the hospice, take part in craft and music activities and get to know the hospice residents and day care patients.
• Children visit  local Care Homes (e.g., Andrew’s Lodge, Linden House) at key points of the year to sing to the residents and celebrate key festivals such as Christmas and Easter
